Opinion on creating a device that could measure blood glucose levels

Hi, so I'm currently facing a final year project that requires me to implement a blood glucose measuring system as part of my project. I was wondering if there are any available sensors out there that i could use to implement this feature, if possible I would like it to be non-invasive. I read many articles and "videos" about using IR sensors but have little to no lead into how the algorithm or how to even begin with to develop such system. And in the case that non-invasive methods are a no go, what other invasive methods apart from pricking will you all suggest that can work with either arduino or raspberry pi?

You can buy such devices at really low cost from Banggood, ebay so the technology exist. Do some more Google running.

Maybe measuring breath?

you are referring to blood pricking devices right? or are you referring to one of those minimally invasive sensors like dexcom?

I actually did read something similar to this, I believe its measurement is based on acetone levels that comes out from one breath, and till this day still trying to figure out how it actually works, so some github repos but very sadly they just randomly release figures like a slot machine though : (, but i aint giving up yet

It's a spring loaded device applied on a fingertip. Some red light can be seen and it presents blood oxygen in percentage and puls rate, costs like 10 USD. Size like 1 1/2 matchbox.

I don't know either but the only way to really know is to try, I'd say.

I actually never seen any of them available in marketplaces, do you by chance have any links for it?

that i'm aware of that fact, that is why I am trying to figure out other methods including the breath method, if i do hit an absolute dead end then I'll have to resort to grabbing reading from tools like freestyle libre 2, it is invasive, but at least its minimally invasive i guess?

Not more then in reply #2 for the time being

I see, regardless thank you though, I'm going to dive deeper into the acetone breath one (despite its difficult requirements for it to actually work) before sliding down to freestyle libre

That is a totally absurd requirement. Explain that to your advisors, and ask them for one that might actually be practical and doable.

But do have fun with Arduino!
