Planning to do a dosing filling machine

Hi All, I just registered in this forum. I am planning to make a dosing filling machine. I am new in this so if someone can help me to see if it is viable or not to make this project. I am planning to do a liquid filling machine up to 500ml.

It is really hard to help when you have not described what this project will do. Just a "name" does not make a project.

Hi mrossiltd,

Are you planning to use a peristaltic pump like this one: peristaltic pump

What types of liquid are you filling and how precise does it have to be? Please provide more details about your project.

Thanks.

This guy is doing similar.

.

eBay pump.

As Larry mentioned, check out the thread I started. He's been a huge help and it will get you well on your way.

Also look at THIS PROJECT. It's what got me interested in doing something similar.

A simple point I'll make is that I hear the 12 volt ebay peristaltic pumps do about 1ml every second (very rough approximation). So if you're looking to do 450ml, that'll take you 7.5 minutes.

Just something to think about depending on how long you were expecting to run these pumps. If you'd like a shorter run time, you might need a different [larger] pump. I only mention this because when I received the pump, the tubing was quite a bit smaller than I had imagined.

Good luck!
