Portable Code Uploader

Ok, I know that I probably seem like a spammer, but I just aheva alot of time to think, and therefore alot of idead.

My (new) idea is to make a portable code uploader. Basically it would have an LCD diaplay, a usb port, an atmega328, a joystick, and a micro sd slot... the atmega328 could read the micro sd, and then send the files to the usb port. You navigate the sd card with the thumb stick.

I know the hardware pretty well, but no idea about the software... Any clues?

Do not keep posting this question.

You already have a thread on this

but no idea about the software

So why are you posting in the hardware section?

Mowcius is happy the spelling of his nick was corrected ;D

I don't think that I have posted this before. The other thread "Computer Free Programmers" is ment to only upload one code and not change that code until a new one is swapped out. This, however, is a portable device that carries all of your code on a micro sd card and then uploads it.

I don't think that I have posted this before.

It's the same concept, with most of the same problems learning opportunities.

These forums are not noted for good spelling (or grammar or punctuation or capitalization, for that matter). I already recommended that Jeremy should use some of his spare time to study spelling (or to search for a good spell-checker).

Unfortunately there are too many people who think that forums like this should appear like a group of kids wrote them.

Something you write on a forum like this could easily be stored for at least your lifetime so I am always careful what I say and how I say it.

Some people need to think of their grandchildren possibly reading some of the rubbish they wrote on forums and then go hide in shame.

Actually it is pretty different... One has an lcd, one deosn't. One has an sd card, one has the internal flash.
