Hey. I am really annoyed when I have to plug in my arduino every second to get 5v or 3.3v and I don't wanna have to use my arduino every flipping time I need to get 3.3v to the base of my transistors or somethin? any ideas for building a simple power supply? (also all my old pc power supplies are from like 2000 - 2005 so I'd rather not use them)

There are several variations on this theme out there. Simple but effective.
Just buy a 7805 and an lm317 or a 3.3v ldo (surface mount)
Or dare I mention it, eBay!
