Problem downloading .zip library

Good afternoon,

I have downloaded this library and tried to install it into the IDE by going to

Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library

But I promptly get this error:

Error: 13 INTERNAL: Library install failed: archive is not valid: multiple files found in zip file top level

I am using Arduino IDE 2.0.3

Worked OK here (and compiles without error) using Arduino 1.8.19

The zipped library was added using:

Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library... > DS3231_Simple-master.zip

Just verifying you used the green dropdown CODE v >> DOWNLOAD ZIP on the linked page?

Just tested using Arduino 2.0.3, worked OK, no errors.

Perhaps you may need to close and re-open Arduino 2.0.3

I did not download it from there, I downloaded it from the link further down in the instructions area.

I did it your way and it worked just fine!
