I'm trying to compile and after compilation I get a message: Wrote 244064 bytes (136558 compressed) at 0x00010000 in 2.0 seconds (effective 989.9 kbit/s)... Hash of data verified.
Good news, everyone! The problem with the drazzy.com website has been fixed. If you are using the alternative "Boards Manager URL" that was provided in the workaround I linked to above, I recommend switching back to the official one. The reason is that the person who created that alternative URL probably won't bother to update it as new versions of the DrAzzy/SpenceKonde platforms are released, which would mean you wouldn't receive update offers from Arduino IDE as happens when using the official URL.
Select File > Preferences... (or Arduino IDE > Settings... for macOS users) from the Arduino IDE menus.
The "Preferences" dialog will open.
In the "Additional Boards Manager URLs" preference field, change this URL:
this is due to expired SSL certificate for the drazzy.com website (again).
It's a certificate provided by Let's Encrypt, current state (july 15th 2024):
Validity Period
Issued On Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:49:14 AM
Expires On Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 3:49:13 AM
so it's expired and should be renewed by the owner of the site: @DrAzzy
Hi all, yes unfortunately @DrAzzy seems to have only renewed the SSL certificate for a couple of months, so it came back as soon as that time passed.
You can find multiple workarounds offered by the community if you search through both the "Issues" and "Discussions" tabs of the various DrAzzy boards platform repositories:
Unfortunately the discussions on GitHub have been horribly fragmented both because the community don't bother to search for previous reports before making a new one, and because the problem affects three separate projects. So it is a bit of work to look through everything, but you'll definitely find a solution with enough persistence.
The SSL is back. I wish the stupid cert auto renew that I've tried to set up multiple times actually worked. Anytime I go away for any length of time, everything falls down around me.
It should not affect the ability to compile a sketch. I did see the certificate message this morning and this afternoon. But I could compile for an ATtiny84 while replying here.
And how is it that you're able to compile without download errors accessing library s?
I'm bout done with duini n drazzy cluster. It's gotten silly. I pity the newbies. Not terribly relevant as it may be configured as 'do not reply to ping requests', but I'm unable to ping drazzy.com @ 52.4.232.83. Something is not 'working as expected'...
Hi @wes2859. I'm going to ask you to provide the full output from a compilation.
This procedure is not intended to solve the problem. The purpose is to gather more information.
Please do this:
Select Sketch > Verify/Compile from the Arduino IDE menus.
Wait for the compilation to fail.
You will see a "Compilation error: ..." notification at the bottom right corner of the Arduino IDE window. Click the "COPY ERROR MESSAGES" button on that notification.
Open a forum reply here by clicking the "Reply" button.
Click the <CODE/> icon on the post composer toolbar.
This will add the forum's code block markup (```) to your reply to make sure the error messages are correctly formatted.
Press the Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut (Command+V for macOS users).
This will paste the compilation output into the code block.
Move the cursor outside of the code block markup before you add any additional text to your reply.
Click the "Reply" button to post the output.
In case the output is longer than the forum software will allow to be added to a post, you can instead save it to a .txt file and then attach that file to a reply here.
Select the .txt file you saved from the "Open" dialog.
Click the "Open" button.
The dialog will close.
Click the "Reply" button to publish the post.
Alternatively, instead of using the "Upload" icon on the post composer toolbar as described in steps (5) - (7) above, you can simply drag and drop the .txt file onto the post composer field to attach it.
I'm able to compile fine, but I can't fetch updates for the core (I have 1.5.2, whereas the current version is 2.something.)

Error downloading http://drazzy.com/package_drazzy.com_index.json
This seems SSL related:
Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead
Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to drazzy.com. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.
It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.
What can you do about it?
The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.
(note that this happens even when I explicitly use "http:/drazzy.com"; apparently firefox, or perhaps something in MacOS, seems to automatically convert http to https.)
I do wonder if, for important contributers like @DrAzzy, who have significantly enhanced the Arduino ecosystem with popular board packages, Arduino should not take responsibility for providing the Web hosting service instead of leaving it up to the individual contributers. It would certainly be a pity if all that content disappeared in the same way that Roger Clark's STM32 stuff did after he quit the scene, leaving people to scrabbling to attempt to rebuild it from Google's cache and other sources. It would be even worse now because Google no longer maintain such a cache for public use.
At least in this case, using --no-check-certificate allows wget to download the json file, so its not a matter of the content being gone, just the ability to access it securely.
