Project State of Charge using Coulomb Counting

My project consists of using Arduino for estimating the state of charge (in an hybrid electric vehicle) of 5 lead acid batteries (12V) which are connected in series using current (coulomb counting) and voltage (Voltage Method) (BU-903: How to Measure State-of-charge - Battery University ).

The state of charge would be displayed using an LCD display (in real time)

Can anyone give me some advice for this project like should I use arduino uno or arduino mega 2560, ...

Any Arduino will work. There is not much to do.
