Pump cold water to pipes structure until the hot hoter

Which may or may not be significantly better than using soap.

And may or may not be significantly beneficial.

Depending on whether those bacteria are actually harmful.

I have not come across any actual concerns about bacteria living in hot water pipes; this is quite a new idea! I know Legionella is a concern in hot water tanks not sufficiently hot but not colonisation of pipes. :astonished:

the bacteria that is common in water lines is a bacteria that interacts with iron.
if the water is 'city' water that has been treated with chlorine, then the amount of bacteria would be less
if the water heater allows for the water to be heated over 140 deg F, it will kill things like legonella.
