PWM Dim a DC-12V Led

I found some 12V-DC Leds that use the E27 Socket, which I want to use. They say that they aren't dimmable and I am assuming this only holds for voltage-dimming and not pwm right?
These should have current-limiting included, will this cause any problems with it?
Are there any reasons on why PWM-Dimming wouldn't be possible on these?

Here is an example product:

They have led driver inside, you shouldn't pwm the driver.
I can't understand why somebody needs 12v led bulb with E27... And from all the leds in the world, you want to pwm those...

But if I bought one thats dimmable it should work, right?

Btw the reason for all that:
I want to mod an old traffic light and keeping the socket is easiest. Dimming is just for my own fun.

Why is this even made...
12V devices are supposed not to fit into 220V sockets...
For a reason...

It's made for applications where there is only battery power and I guess it's just because people are used the these sockets??!? But without question this will have lead to a lot of broken Lightbulbs so it's really stupid

12V dimmable led lights with E27 socket?? :open_mouth: I't getting even more interesting..
Do they tell how to dim them?

They don't thats the probem, and the site doesn't give any Datasheets.
I will ask their support, but as it's the weekend they'll probably not respond until next week.

Here's the link to the product (it's a german site so it's a google translate link)

Link doesn't open to me.. Ok, wait what they tell you or just buy pwm dimmable 12V led and wire it in E27 socket

No it looks exactly like 230V light, but is actually 12V

Here's the normal link:

And the translate link again:

Maybe it's not led.. Incandescent? That you can dim however you want!

You're right, I totally forgot to read that it's actually not an LED, that makes way more sense.
The word for incandescent bulbs is actually just the word for lightbulb in german so it had me confused.

Still kinda interesting that there are 12v versions

I agree...
