@migueltg: can you tell us a little bit more about your layout? How big is it and is it an analog or a digital model railroad?
Hi
It's a small layout (190 x 90 cm), built with no flexible track, N scale, that can be divided into 3 modules in case I need to relocate it. It's not complete yet; I'm still deciding how to control the turnouts and signals.
My idea is to run it in DCC or fully analogue mode with 2 handsets, as the track is divided into isolated sections.
I thought of something similar to this in order to be able to use any of the 2 analog handsets on any isolated block, or change to DCC the whole layout.
Thanks for all the interest that everyone is showing in my project.
I used to have an N scale with almost that exact layout.
Seems like overkill and costly, if wiring is the issue, cat5 is a good solution but ultimatly, switch to a modern digital control system with individually addressable locos.
Yes, they are great but I want to keep and equilibrium between the tracks and the landscape, the center zone of the layout will be free of railway items.
Thanks, I'll gathering info about those bridges, thanks for the link!
