Are there any general recommendation for any tools for drawing sketches, pulse waves. For example., I'm writing some blog content for some of my Arduino projects and I have used fritzing for schematic drawing, but I now have a need to draw and export as JPG some square wave pulses. Are there any online tools that could be used for this purpose?
Hi Joesan your post is in the wrong section, I'll ask a moderator for advice on where it SHOULD be.
However your question - how to sketch waveforms - is a good one and I dont have a good answer.
See my tutorial on posting schematics
Fritzing is an invention of the devil!
Can I suggest you change your title to "Recommended Tools for sketching waveforms"?
I think this is a suitable location already.
Bob.
Thanks Bob, yes its been moved.
I suspect any of the vector drawing programs would be suitable. I use LibreOffice Draw and there is also Inkscape, both of which are free.
...R
If you ever get in to designing custom PCBs then most PCB design programs (eagle (free but corporately owned), KiCAD (open source)...) have a schematic editor in them which usually makes good schematics you can screenshot and use to display circuit designs.
For waveform you might be better with graphing software of some sort, many spreadsheet packages can do it, as can certain additions to python or R. And there are plenty of onine graphing webpages.
