"In this activity, we use the map() function, so that we narrow it from a scale of 0 - 100" may be from a previous version of the lesson. There is actually no use of the map() function in the current code on the Sensor Kit Lesson 6 page, link here , so I suggest removal of this line from the body text.
Hi @alanparmenter. Thanks for your reports. Unfortunately the people at Arduino who would be able to act on your reports don't actively monitor the forum so they likely won't see them.
The effective way to report problems with the Arduino Education content is via the contact form here:
Do sensor kits have a version number?
Thanks for the follow up.
Funnily enough, I was following the guidance on this How to Contribute page , where it says:
Tutorials, getting started and other pages on arduino.cc
Issue reports and contributions can be posted to this forum section: Website and Forum - Arduino Forum
So, it could be the How to Contribute page also should be updated if it's not right or not complete, but I think I'll just send links to my posts through that contact form for now.
Thanks again
I agree. You can also report that through the contact form if you like.
Thanks so much for your efforts to improve the Arduino content! I apologize if the path to contributing is unnecessarily circuitous.
If you are interested in contributing to Arduino documentation in general, much of the documentation is hosted in public GitHub repositories (unfortunately not the Arduino Education content though AFAIK), and the contribution workflow is much more efficient for that content thanks to GitHub's excellent collaboration features:
Sure! I mentioned the guidance I followed while I was linking my posts on the contact form, but I'm going to leave going after getting the guidance changed up to you, for the simple reason that seems less appropriate coming from me. Cheers!
Certainly the driver libraries have version numbers, and how this affects the use of two versions of temperature sensors is covered on the Support Page; but those different temperature sensors can be identified visually by colour. I don't see a version number printed on my Sensor Kit Base, and the current v1.4 library is working fine for the black temperature sensor I have on it. I don't have any further knowledge on this topic, as yet, but I hope these comments help in passing. I didn't want to ignore your question.
In my experience it takes roughly a week to get feedback via email. This has the form of
- We have fixed the issue, please check.
If you receive that email, just check if the issue is solved and state in a reply that the issue can be closed or not. - An automated email about a pending request basically meaning that you have not provided feedback.
Which is difficult if you have not received feedback from Arduino on your request yet.
Number (2) always annoys me.
