I need to store .mp3 files of the audio recording which will be used later. I saw a few resources and they all had that storing in an external sd card. But I need them to be saved in the computer which will be connected
Which board are you using? How is the computer connected?
If you're using a computer, what's wrong with using your soundcard?
The "regular" Arduino is not powerful enough to compress to MP3 in real time. And, the ADC is only 10-bits and you loose more resolution at high sample rates.
I only asked the basic questions... you need to provide a lot more detail if you want help.
If you are making recordings, making MP3 files from them and storing them in a computer then plug your audio source into the computer and use a program like Audacity. No Arduino needed or useful.
If that's not it then please explain what you are doing and where any Arduino fits into your plans.
