Thank you for your reply.
I know about your advice. I know.
However, if you actually use the example source code you gave, you cannot get the temperature value of 'PT-100'. That's the biggest problem.
It feels like two libraries are conflicting.
Because of this, we are proceeding by using the 'digitalWrite' function and 'begin' externally.
Only in this way can the temperature value of 'PT-100' be obtained.
Hello, Im simply trying to get the MAX31865 RTD to digital converter to log temperature to an SD card. However, im struggling to get the SPI connections to work simultaneously. From browsing several other forum posts and other forums there seems to be a common trouble of the SD card taking the SPI line and not giving it back after its used, none of the solutions have worked for me.
So, im wondering how to fix my issue. ive got them both connected to SPI on an Arduino Mega 2560. with my MAX chip…

@Sherzaad , could I trouble you with giving me a little more detail on how you can look at this schematic and determine a proper tristate design? What would a good design look like and how can you tell they designed this one wrong? I really want to learn what I am looking for so I can have multiple peripherals work on a single bus.
If you look at the picture I posted you will see that the chip has a part number (74LVC125APW). If you google it you will likely find the datashe…

"I don't know how SD cards work but I assume they, too, go to high-Z when not selected."
And yet there are multiple posts in the forum where that was not the case. Maybe it was the age of the cards in use.
I don't know, but I do know adding a buffer takes care of it.
No doubt this was all beaten to death in a detailed thread in 2014, but I'm very new here and couldn't find what I was looking for using the keywords I thought were relevant.
Lucky for me that I could solve it by …
