Hi!
I would like to ask why the (search all sketch tabs) function does not work in version 2.04? I use this feature all the time, but now I can't figure out how to use it, or is it missing from version 2.0.4?
I ask the developer of the program to put back the traditional search function, because it was easier to use! Unfortunately, I had to go back to the old 1.8 versions in order to be able to search more efficiently in the many sketches!
I don't think it would be complicated to include that one line (search on all sketch tabs) in the current search engine!
Hi @kjocoka1. Arduino IDE 2.0.4 has two different search features, which are accessed in different ways:
- The search feature for the file selected in the Arduino IDE editor is accessed via the Edit > Find menu (or the keyboard shortcut).
- The search feature for the entire sketch is accessed by clicking the magnifying icon on the "activity bar" on the left side of the Arduino IDE window:
Once you get used to it, I think you will find the Arduino IDE 2.x sketch search feature to be very powerful, even more so than Arduino IDE 1.x.
Thanks for the help!
I was the careless one, because I didn't notice that the search engine showed the additional sketches, I just didn't notice that they could be opened!
Then back again to 2.0.4
You are welcome. I'm glad if I was able to be of assistance.
Regards,
Per
