SIM800 restart every 10 seconds

Hello,

I have SIM800 and arduino mega. I connected SIM800 to 5V and to GND from Arduino, I didn't upload any code yet, but SIM800 restarts every 10 seconds ( there are two leds on SIM800, one is blinking every 1 sec and the other one restart every 10 seconds which is the power of the SIM as I figured out recently.

I tried to change the wires type, and I tried to supply the SIM800 with an external 9V supply by using L7805.

P.S. : I don't use any capacitor, does it has any effect on this issue ?

Check the specs on your SIM800. They board I have requires 6-24V for input and does it's own voltage regulation. Connecting it to 5V from the Arduino won't work.

I don't think the voltage is the problem, and before 2 months I tried to use 9V battery and connect it directly to the SIM800 and it burns out. Also, I check the datasheet from google, It says the input should be 3.4 - 4.4V
