Hello, I have a 2-part question on the slayer exciter circuit below,
My question is,
Does it matter how precise the turns in the secondary and the turns in the primary are? I know there should be a small number of turns in the primary and a large amount in the secondary, I didn't count mine exactly but I estimate i did 200 turns in the secondary and 3 turns in the primary. I use 30 AWG magnet wire, a 2n2222 transistor, and a 9v battery, and i used a 3k ohm resistor on the base. What is the math for this and how do people decide what ratio of turns to do, what supply voltage and what resistor to use on the base?
In the circuit I noticed the dot notation, i have looked up the dot notation and am still a little confused. Does it mean that in basic terms that one coil is wrapped clockwise and the other coil is wrapped counter-clock-wise?
