Hello i am looking for a small PSU circuit to run an arduino and relay.
Also needs to be as cheap as possible.
Eventually i will be designing my own arduino board with relay and thermistor but it needs to be powered by 120V AC. Footprint needs to be as small as i can make it.
I have on of these MP-LS05-13B12R3AC/DC that i was planning to use but cannot figure out how to connect the cap pins and what cap i would need.
These are the best and safest solution. They take 100 to 220v input and are available in 12v, 5v & 3.3v output
.. just keep in mind that this can kill you. But it's cheap.
In that case, I would strongly advise not to build your own.
That is a 12v model. Here is the data sheet: https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/3167206.pdf
It is not particularly easy to use because of the number of mandatory external components.
I'd also recommend a Hi-Link mini power brick and use these for time switch type applications.
Thankyou for the comments. I will look for a complete unit.
Thankyou i will look at these
