Suggestions for Very Low Temp (-90) Sensor/Probe?

Hello!

Does anyone have suggestions for where I might find an arduino compatible low temperature probe? Or if no, is there somewhere else I should try asking this question? Another forum?

I want to monitor a freezer that should stay at -80 C. But am thinking maybe I should have some wiggle room in the downward direction.

Something similar to the DS18B20 would be ideal.

Thanks!

That is an interesting question. But, I suppose you have researched Google, already and discovered your only sensor for that low a temperature is to use a silicon diode. I found several discussions and circuit descriptions. I bet you found the same.

PT-100 probe - 196 C to + 150 C

Thermocouples works fine at low temperatures a well.

Oh! yeah. That might be perfect! Thanks!

Use a MAX31865 to read the PT-100 sensor. Adafruit make a good breakout for it.
