http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44649823/webcam-toy-photo1.jpg Is that how it would look if i wanted to make a simple, LED switch? sorry:( is just i want to show my friends dad and i want to make sure he can read it:)
Nope. The LED on Pin 9 is fine but the switch and resistor on Pin 8 are wrong. Since the button is between Pin 8 and Ground the resistor should be between Pin 8 and +5. Alternatively you can connect the switch between +5 and Pin 8 and connect the resistor between Pin 8 and Ground. Switch goes to one side, resistor to the other, and the pin is between the two.
Would you be kind and make it and show me? upload a picture.
How would you write this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LCCGFSMOr4 go to minute 16:43
could any one right it then post a picture,
mrdove500: How would you write this
You've already been told how to wire it up:
Switch goes to one side, resistor to the other, and the pin is between the two.
it would really help me out:(
is this how you would right it? http://snaps.htmlchat.net/?img=12012216040222654941cnbz
That gives you a normally-low signal, which goes high when the switch is closed. If that's the behaviour you want, that's the right circuit. Make sure the resistance is big enough to keep the current to a few mA. Anything over 1KOhm would probably be OK.
