Is there any documentation for the technical detail of the 101 board yet, or do we have to wait for Intel RTOS to go open-source?

So, arduino sketches are exclusively running on the ARC core rather than the x86 code? That's a bit disappointing; I was looking forward to my x86 knowledge being useful 
Will it ever be possible to write x86 code for the 101?
