Not sure this is the right place to ask. But I have tried and tried making Things fail in Arduino cloud. I am new on the Arduino cloud and I have no idea why this happens.
I am new on Arduino IoT cloud and has paid a maker subscription yesterday. Before that I had a free subs in a month and had not this problem. This is frustrating as I cannot find any support with this topic.Help from any body who has experienced this before or has an idea what can cause this is very much appreciated.

Your Create A Thing is different from mine. I clicked Add thing and it did, I then associated it with a device, all OK. Now add variables.
What device are you using to do the Add a Thing? Phone or PC
I have not come so far yet. I am just trying out the functions in user interface with a esp32 nano to learn how it works.
I can only "add devices", all other Things, Dashboard, Trigger etc. I have to "create ". I do not have the option to "add" for theses and it seems for me to be meaningful this way.
Ok, Add and Create mean the same thing, I never noticed the fact the wording was different. So everything is ok now?

Hey I have the same issue. Did you solve the issue or does it show the same error msg 'Failed to create thing' . I just signed up on Arduino cloud.
No I haven't. I tried to follow one of the templates in the ressources. That way there was created a thing for me. I was thinking maybe one should add devices first and then create things, but that did not help me either.
I am also facing the same issue. I have a free plan and have added 1 thing already. When I try to add the second thing, i get a message "Failed to Create Thing". Till yesterday, I was able to create things easily.

I wanted to create a new topic, but I can see now that it's not just me 
And I have 0 (ZERO) things created - was about to create the first one.
And I did have one thing created on this account previously, so it's a new issue - everything used to work before.
Same problem we all are facing .I wish if the seniors developers help us solve this problem and Hello to all newbies have a wonderful year ahead and lets learn together

I'm also facing the same issue. I found the problem was that Arduino blocked some time zones. My Timezone is Asia/Kolkata, I changed the timezone to US/Canada Central and It worked.
But this is not the permanent solution to the problem, it is just you can work on it temporarily until this is fixed.
where did you change that?
In your local computer.
There is also a time zone up at the top of the page where you have set up, sketch and metadata. You find it under metadata.

well sadly today's maintenance didn't change anything
Got till same error. may cause of maintenance time.
Its a bit frustrating....unable to create a Thing on cloud for over three days now. Does anyone know how long this will go on for?
