Good day, Ive searched and found an old forum post about this and it doesn't work for me. I have a window 8 operating system and have successfully downloaded numerous libraries for both my R2-D2 project and the Millennium Falcon model. Tried latest version and oldest. No joy. Any help to solve would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Rick
Really sorry but I am betting a lot of us have no idea what or where or how you are talking about.
In all fairness you may want to read this post first then expand a little
Need install Arduino Library Add On
・DFPlayer library V2.0
・DFRobot_utility library
・TimerOne
https://playground.arduino.cc/Code/Timer1
https://code.google.com/archive/p/arduino-timerone/downloads
This is what Im takjing about. The first is a project of which I have the written sketch. No version seems to upload in arduino library. The last link is all versions.
Usually the "playground" versions are a safer bet.
To install a library there is a step through to help with that HERE
Once a library is installed there are most often EXAMPLES included and I would suggest you play with those a little as an individual item unrelated to your final goal.
That will give you a working example to learn from and gather a little understanding.
I would say that this one is probably the best bet- looks like it was last updated just a few months ago; I would not use the versions from playground - they often aren't kept up to date. GitHub - PaulStoffregen/TimerOne: TimerOne Library with optimization and expanded hardware support
It sounds like you have been making some other mistake in installing or referencing the library, though, since none of them work. For further help, you need to post the full text of any and all error messages and the code that is failing to compile.
Ballscrewbob and DrAzzy, I really don't do heroine...lol I did just what both of you had said.
A. I re-read my post. Golly day...A hammer to the head or what. Sorry, I used the post thread as what I was talking about.
B. The gifthub.com did work.
Heres how I messed up...I think. Earlier downloads of the zip files I pulled to desktop. I then opened up Arduino under my documents and drug them in. Worked on a couplebut, Timer1 wasn't going to have any of that. It wanted a proper introduction HaHaHa I re-read Ballscrewbob's post and read the Arduino install of libraries and lo and behold....DUH. Two days and seriously 20 attempts I was ready to give up on that project.
Thank you guys for your help. I really appreciate having this forum and people that care. Rick/ Darth
