Ubuntu is prompting me / suggesting do-release-upgrade to 26.04.1 LTS when I ssh in. Is that going to work - will the Arduino packages and Qualcomm customisations work on 26.04.1? I assume that the board ships with 24.04 for a reason, but I'm interested in the Arduino team's plans to keep up with …

UPDATE: :warning: We recommend against updating Ubuntu at this time. Please see my posts later in this topic for details. [image] andypiper: Is that going to work - will the Arduino packages and Qualcomm customisations work on 26.04.1? Yes, they should work fine. If you do update, please l…

Thanks, ok then! I'll have a go.

I did the update and have not experienced any issues.

I have an important update. After further testing we determined that there are incompatibilities between Ubuntu 26.04 and the VENTUNO Q. The update offer is the result of a bug. If you have installed the update, please reflash the operating system to revert back to the officially supported Ubuntu 2…

Thank you for the correction! I ran the update (over a wired network connection) and it completed successfully - it disabled the Arduino repo which I re-enabled afterwards, and I was able to successfully run the Air Quality example from the App Lab showcase via a network connected Linux machine. I h…

The problems I encountered when I tried 26.04: The board no longer produces a serial port. This means it can only be connected to via Arduino App Lab and Arduino IDE via the network. That is problematic for Arduino IDE because it means no Serial Monitor. When I open a shell session on the board vi…

That's completely fair! Before going back to 24.04 I thought I would poke around a bit more in an attempt to be helpful to anyone who is looking at next steps. do-release-upgrade by default disables third party package updates, which means that what I got after a reboot was 26.04 Resolute userspac…

Another angle: If you have ROS2 installed, the ROS2 version requires specific Ubuntu-Versions to avoid problems, and some solutions may require a specific ROS2 version. In my case, I am working with ROS2 Jazzy, which requires Ubuntu noble (24.04).

I wish I've seen this before I tried to update new board. Now board is not booting, while I'm trying to understand which USB-C to DC Jack adapter I should buy to follow Arduino recovery procedure and re-flash board.
