Hi there!
Can anyone help me with ultrasonic liquid sensor system? The thing is that I have to measure water flow difference in non-invasive mode, so I'm thinking to use buzzer/buzzers for that. I don't need to calculate the real flow in oz/l, I need only to have different voltage on Arduino analog input, for example, I have the flow in pipe 1l/min, and have 2V on sensor output (or Arduino input), if I increase the flow for 2l/min - have for example 2.2V or whatever (more).
what do you mean by "non-invasive mode"? Are you looking for a sensor that wont require modification to existing pipes?
I mean a sensor which should work on outside pipe surface, without drilling holes to pipe, cutting it and installing something.
Any schemes for the sensor or link to existing sensor which can do that kind of work?
You want to build your own ultrasonic flow sensor? To measure Doppler shift in the pipeline?
yes, something simpler to measure water flow in pipeline. maybe I can use SR04 module to do that? it has ultrasonic transducer and receiver.
Its unlikely that a cheap ultrasonic sensor designed for air is going to work in water let alone somehow penetrating though a solid metal pipe.
There is this but is likely lots more expensive and has a number of restrictions.
Micronics have one for about 10k ..... lots of things to deal with like Pipe wall thickness, Pipe Wall Manufacture, Is there a rubberized lining .... not to mention viscosity, Temperature, and type of fluid you wish to measure.
