First, you need to get an Uno that has a pre-programmable Atmega8U2 chip for the USB/Serial interface.
That one does not. It is marked FT232RL and is not reprogrammable.

That's not even an Uno design, its some kind of hybrid Duemilenove with the hardware i2c and ioref pins from the Uno design..
Also.... That FTDI chip looks a tad non FTDI ish.
