USB Host Shield on Leonardo – No Power to USB Port (Keyboard Not Lighting Up)

Hello, I am trying to attach a USB Host Shield on top of an Arduino Leonardo and connect a keyboard to it. However, no power seems to be going to the USB port on the Host Shield. The Host Shield can communicate with the Leonardo — I tested this with a simple code — but when I try to connect a keyboard, even the keyboard’s LED does not turn on.

I watched the “power fix” videos and tested this setup with three different Leonardo boards and three different Host Shields, but the result did not change in any of them.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me.

Posting a link to the datasheet would help us. You can also wait and hope there’s a helper knowing Your, so far, unknown shield.

Sorry, I’m new around here. My host shield is a Host Shield V5.60. Photo attached.

you probably need to solder the jumpers to provide power to the USB
