Utility app for showing button activity

Look at this screenshot....it shows a utility that this guy had to check what circuit was being active when he hit 1 button at a time on his button box project(YouTube). I think he is on Windows and I am on Mac but I want to get that utility or app that shows that....You can see the pop up says /Arduino Leanardo properties/. I didn't see that in the menu when I load up Arduino IDE but I didn't have anything connected to my Arduino at the time..do I have to have it connected???
What do you know?

Does your Game Controller show up in System Preferences? It might show up as a "Mouse" or "Trackpad".

I found Mac Controllers Lite in the App Store...it might work...I thought Arduino would have an onboard analyzer...no?

For what purpose? The breadth of possible implementations means universality is impossible. Are you really looking for something that just scans all the inputs and represents them graphically on screen? Then write it, it's pretty simple.
