so i'm going to be using a yellow jacket vacuum pump for a few different projects i have going on (all non arduino) related. then I started thinking about things that would be done with the arduino and it, however i can not find any sensors that measure down to 30", yes i know the best i can hope for really is 29" but hopefully you see where i'm going with this. all the sensors i am finding on mouser and digikey only go down to ~15". So does anyone know of any sensors or heck even a shield that can measure the vacuum that this pump will pull?
What do they use in a wafer-fab ?
pisco.com VUS21 (0-29 in. Hg)
thanks, now i gotta figure out where to get one or two. might have to try and get some samples from pisco. if anyone knows of anything more readily available I'm all ears.
also a little curious on the vus21 when reading the spec sheet on it, they talk about it being a switch with analog output, not really sure if it is more of a switch or a sensor that can return a value depending on the vacuum
Pretend you have a wafer processing tool. What would you want to happen if the pressure got out of range ?
I only suggested the VUS21 because I on my cell phone and that was the first link on the Google search
I'm just happy there is something out there. thanks, i hope i didn't come off as not being appreciative
Well it' s not exactly Sparkfun pricing... XD
OK actually talked with honeywell today and got some info for anyone else who might be in need of this
if you want/need a metal one look for a honeywell 40PC015V1A here is a link to mouser's page
that one has an all metal case so that it should not have any leaks near perfect vacuum
if you can handle a silicon one which might cause leak issues near a full vacuum then this one would work as well
honeywell SSCDANN015PAAA5
and mousers link to it
