What I saw was 5V at 3A so max 15W. I believe the Pi 5 is 5V at 5A or 25W so very competitive.

The confusing part is that although a 25 watt USB-C power supply is recommended for the Raspberry Pi 5, it itself only consumes four watts. The specs are always for the worst case. They even had to invent their own special USB-C interface to get from 3A to 5A. The worst case is when the radio is at max. Would you design a PSU that only worked at less than the worst case?

[image] sonofcy: The worst case is when the radio is at max. Worst case for RPi is when you have an 16GB version with a bunch of powered USB devices connected, an SSD, a camera, and are using the Ethernet. Use of the GPU is probably another factor. I'd expect the Wifi to be relatively minor…

Have you read the note and the paragraphs following the table you linked? It explains why they recommend a 25W power supply.

I am fairly certain that is the answer the company president gave when asked why 25W at the Pi5 launch.
