Why is there no way to search the forums? The search icon in the top right portion of the screen is for Google searching. Am I missing something?
We had it once, but it was taken away.

That search icon invokes a Google search using its site: qualifying parameter with this site's address. Results are all only (or at least primarily) from this site. You can do the same by entering:
[color=blue]site:forum.arduino.cc search term(s)[/color]
in Google's search box.
PS The largest disadvantage I've found to this approach is the inclusion of [WML] links (which wreak havoc on Firefox/Linux).
PPS For the nay-sayers, this "Google" use isn't ideal, but as a developer, I can tell you search is hard. :o
