WiFi Rev2 RTC interrupts

Has anyone been able to get RTC interrupts working on the WiFi Rev2 yet?

Hi!

loot at my new fork of original arduino Time library and test the InternalRTC_interrupts example:

If possible, I would like a return for testing before submitting a pull-request to the original Time project. Thanks!

Hi!

I've tried your InternalRTC_interrupts example on an Arduino Uno WiFi rev2 with negative result. No errors, but nothing happens.

Hi. Please check your Uno WiFi Rev2 to see if it has this issue:

There are supposed to be two load capacitors next to the 32.768 kHz, but on a small number of Uno WiFi Rev2, one of those is instead a resistor. If your board has the problem, you'll notice one of the surface mount components (above the metal can of the crystal in that picture) is black, while the other is a purplish brown.

Yes. My board has that issue. :frowning:

I'm sorry to hear that. You can contact Arduino Store Support to request a replacement through this form:

Add that link from my previous reply so they can have a reference for the problem.

Or if you're good with surface mount soldering, you could just replace that resistor with a 20 pF capacitor and you'll be up and running right away.

It appears that my board has the same problem. I have contacted support and awaiting their reply.

@folgorante and @guzon in order to assist Arduino with the investigation of the resistor instead of load capacitor issue, would you mind sharing your geographic location, when you purchased the Uno WiFi Rev2, and where you bought it from? If you don't want to share that information publicly here, you can provide the information to Arduino Store support (if you haven't done so already) or to me in a private message. I'll pass the information on to the people at Arduino who are investigating the issue.

I received a reply from Arduino support.

Thank you for contacting us,

In order to understand your situation better, we request you to provide us the below information:

One picture from each side of your board( where we can see the defect).
Invoice of the purchase.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,

I purchased mine directly from the Arduino Store online delivered to my home in Utah. Order was placed 3/19/19.

I'll have to wait until I get home tomorrow to submit photos other than a close-up of the problem.

Thanks so much for the information guzon! I have passed it along to the people at Arduino doing the investigation.
