Zigbee Sensor Network

Hello my friends,

I am currently working on a project that requires me to take readings from sensors and send them via zigbee. I currently have an XBee Shield (with the zigbee chip) connected to an UNO board.
I attached a scheme of what I have to achieve. My part is to worry about the networking part of this, the sensing is for my other colleague.

I don't know how to connect or configure or program my devices for me to do what is asked of me.
Could I get some help from you guyz please?

Much appreciated,
Alexander.

You will only need 2 xbee radios to send and receive data from your sensors. Just get radios with enough power to transmit the distance you need and ideally have RPSMA antennas. I use XBee-Pro 900 XSC S3B radios with RPSMA connectors and have had excellent success. They are configured using XCTU software that you download where you match up certain settings. I purchased these for tracking a HAB project that I'm working on now but otherwise I'm not sure I would use these on a regular basis for projects.
