12/24V to 12V powersupply

Hey guys,

I am building a custom PCB powersupply for my boatsystem that is 12/24V to 12V.
Here's my schematic, is it good enough?

Why not use a buck converter?

  • If this means 12v in 12v out . . . 24v in 12v out, buy a BOOST/BUCK converter, can be use as a daughter card.

My schematic you see above is a buck-converter.
I want to intergrate it in my own PCB since I need 12V supply for switching relais.
The PCB is going to part of a professional product were developing that's why i want to build it myself.

  • So you are making a commercial product for sale and are asking for non paid help with your manufacturing designs ?

  • A ready made BOOST/BUCK converter as a daughter card is probably a much cheaper way of proceeding; it will be a proven design too.

Ok, my fee so far is $65,000 as I have a 50% down against a minimum 13 week contract at $250/hr.

  • With tariffs, carbon taxes etc. better raise this to $ 0xFFFF
