2 High voltage motors

Hi Everyone, I am trying to control two 12 volt motors with an Arduino. I have successfully set one up just as described in the ITP tutorial http://itp.nyu.edu/physcomp/Tutorials/HighCurrentLoads But I want to add a second motor. It seems like I could just recreate the circuit and attach it to another pin. But is there a way to use the same external power supply for both motors without using a motor shield of hbridge? Thanks!

You can duplicate the circuit and control it with another pin. The same power supply can power both motors if it has enough amperage to do so. You only need an H-bridge if you want to reverse the motor's direction (in your tutorial the motors are only going in 1 direction).

-- The Rugged Motor Driver: two H-bridges, more power than an L298, fully protected

I was worried I would just immediately fry something if I tried this. Thanks so much!
