About my problems with the l293d motor driver shield

Hello, i hope somebody will be able to help me with this problem i have been strugling for 2 months. At first everything worked fine the motor driver worked great the, arduino uno r3 worked perfectly and the 4 geared tt dc motors worked great also and the 3 li-on batteries seemed perfect. But then i was testing it futher while moving and the motor driver burnt. After that slowly everything didn't work, unexpectedly I had to replace EVERY SINGLE COMPONENT exept the motors. I have switched beetwen 4 brand new motor drivers and it simply didn't work. I know the code is ok jut something is wrong, i don't know what is wrong and now that i have replaced every single part tried with 2 li-on batteries and a 9 volt battery and it doesn't work. I have lost all hope for this project i was and i am so passionate about, if someone could help me it would mean the whole world to me! And also when I connect motors to the battery directly they work perfectly, but when i connect them to my motor driver they just but like they want to spin but don't have the power to do so.I will put a picture down below with a diffrent motor but just imagine please it is a yellow geared tt motor. As i mentioned all the help would mean the world to me!

Can you post a schematic, and are you using feedback protection diodes to each motor?

How and to what are they connected?
Please post schematics telling how. Pen and paper, a picture of ti posted is okey.

Hello, thanks for your answers here is a picture of a temporary testing setup and i am currently using a velleman vma 207 motor driver shield

On the website it says it has internal kickback protection diodes but i couldn"t find a schematic

Under the description, it say:

  • 0.6 A per bridge (1.2 A peak)

You may be pulling more amps than it can provide.

Yeah but i tried with an led light and the brightness of it was really low too

Thank you for your anwer tho, it really means a lot!

I have never used that shield before, so I can't say for certain what the actual issue is.

I always used one of these.

L298N Motor Driver

Check for overheating of the 74hc2595 chip
I believe the same thing is happening to mine as well.

Yeah, but can it overheat in just a few seconds?

And did you have the same problems like motors beeping like they want to spin but can't?

I dont know what to do anymore

Try swapping the 74uc2595 chip, see if that works
