So, I want to buy the Ampflow E30-400 motor. Ampflow Motors (specs are in the chart)
Can I use the Syren 50A regenerative controller to power the motor?
SyRen 50A regenerative motor driver - analog, R/C, and serial motor control
The motor website doesn't provide max current, but if the max power is 2.1 HP = 1566W and voltage is 24V, and
current=power/voltage, 1566/24= 65A maximum, which the controller can handle.
But on this website: http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-E30-400.html
the specs say that the stall current is 266A!
Can anyone help with this or suggest a better controller (in the same price range)?
Thanks
Dont confuse max mechanical power with electrical power in. The effiency near stall is tiny. Check the efficiency curve...
I see. So at the max, 2.1HP, the current is about 145A. Do you know of any controller which can support that? Can a 2 sealed lead-acid batteries in series supply that much current?
Thanks again
