Analog Switch MAX4544 or TS5A23157

Hello Friends!
Short question: Will the MAX4544 or TS5A23157 allow the 0.5-4.5v signal to pass through from COM to NC when this analog switch shield is powered off?
Thanks!

You may damage the MAX4544 if you apply signals without power.

TI does not specify what will happen but in general it's not a good idea to have active signals connected to an unpowered device. Some TI devices have a power off feature that guarantees the output will be high impedance if there is no power applied but this device does not.

Thank you for your reply! Maybe you can tell me which analog switch model is the best to replace relay RY1? An important aspect is that when the switch is powered off, it should automatically switch to the R1 potentiometer, like this relay do.

Is the 5V also turned off?

5V stays

Then for the MAX4544 just connect SIG to 5V with a 10K resistor. That will keep COM connected to NO even if the cotrol signal connected to SIG is turned off

Okey, I see. And for the switching I will need to connect SIG to GND then it will connect COM to NC, correct? I can do the same with TS5A23157?

Yes to both questions
