Anyone know if power is needed in a garage door switch?

This is probably a silly question.

I've got a powered garage door - the roller type. The control box is similar to this...linkcontrols AE0900 pdf.

I don't currently have a manual switch connected to the connectors on the bottom left of the board. What I want to do is add some reed switches to detect if the door's open, add a timed automatic close, and add an override if I don't want it to close automatically.

So, before I even get into putting a board in there... does anyone know if I need to put any power into those connectors to make them work, or would it more likely be just a short between a switched connector and the "COM" connector?

I just didn't want to accidentally electrocute myself without asking first.

No power needed, just connect between COM and required switch(s) (OPEN, CLOSE, STOP, PHOTO).
Note the PHOTO/STOP switches are normally closed, press to open and the OPEN/CLOSE switches are normally open, press to close.
Not sure what the photocell is used for but it and the stop switch are factory linked to common.

Many thanks for this - exactly what I needed. I can now start working out which relays to use to short them.

I believe the photocell is for safety when the door is shutting rather than open/closed checking.

Mine actually let me insert an LED across the switch so I have a visual indication of where the switch is in the dark.
