Arduino Alvik - Battery problem

About a month and a half ago, I bought an Arduino Alvik. I only tested if it would turn on, and then I didn't have time to work with it any further. Today, I finally got back to the Arduino Alvik, but it didn't respond to being turned on. When connected to the PC, it works fine, but the battery doesn't charge. Does anyone have any advice?

Was the unit left on and/or was the battery flat when you finished earlier?
If so you need a new battery, it appears the battery internal protection circuit is working.

Hello, thank you for your response.
I checked the battery with print_status, and it showed 64%.
Then I inspected the battery visually, and it looked fine. After that, I measured the battery and got a reading of 1.86V.

I've already ordered new batteries:

  • 18650 Li-ion Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh
  • 18650 Li-ion Samsung INR18650-35E 3500mAh

I hope these will fit and work well inside the Alvik. I’ve also ordered a charger for 18650 batteries. Do you think it would be safe to try charging the old battery?

Thank you again for your response.

If you have an appropriate charger try it, I do not expect it will charge. Best to put it outside when you try this in case it overheats. I doubt it will but better to be safe.

Thanks for letting us know, enjoy your project.

Thank you again for your answer.
The new batteries have arrived, and both of them work perfectly, so I decided not to try charging the old one.
Thank you for your help.

I seem to be experiencing the same I guess I'll order a back up battery

I'm having the same problem. I bought 8 robots and 7 of them are completely dead.

Hi @luk4s_c ,
you ' checked the battery with print_status , and it showed 64%.'
How can you do this, could you please help me with it. I want to check my battery percentage as well.
I am having the same problem like you guys here.

Thanks,
Shishir
