Arduino Alvik does not turn on

Hi everyone,

I just got my Arduino Alvik. But when I try to turn it on without connecting the device to my pc it won't turn on. Only when I connect the Arduino ESP32 to my pc via usb c, I can turn the Arduino Alvik on.

I also followed the instructions on this page to update the firmware and it seems to work.

Also when the device is on, the touch buttons do not work. I can't choose a program from the default ones.

Any idea on how to solve the issue?

Thanks

I have the same problem. It is not a battery issue, as the green led on the Arduino is on. Problem seems to be that the out of the box programs on the Alvik do not start automatically when the robot is turned on.

Some launcher missing ?

I have understood what happens. The mBlock app replaces the main.py file on the robot by its own program. To restore the original demo, you have to edit the main.py file and replace the code by "import demo".

To edit main.py, use the app "Arduino lab for MicroPython".

I have the exact same problem. I followed the initial set up guide with said to update the firmware and that went without issue.
Now, when I turn on the switch nothing happens, no leds blinking, no touch buttons, nothing. When it's connected to the PC and I turn it on the DL2 turns green but nothing else happens.
I haven't connected mBlock yet and checked the files with the MicroPython and the main.py says import demo. the demo.py is present and has code, which I assume should be for those programs, but doesn't seem to work.
The battery is OK too.
Is my board faulty somehow?

I have the same problem too. My Alvik worked fine and its battery loading until i run the update firmware procedure. Then i got faced up with the same problem as you. Have you found any solution?
