Arduino bluetooth HM-10 (zs-040) probleme

Hello!
I have a problem with this module: HM-10 (zs-040).
I'm trying to do a simple led control from this tutorial:
https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/mayooghgirish/arduino-bluetooth-basic-tutorial-d8b737
I downloaded the app, and connected the board as it is shown in the tutorial.

My problem is that I'm trying to pair the module with my android phone, but it can't. The module name: "BT05" appears in the "found devices" on the android, but when I tap on it, it just pops up a message, that "BT05 rejected pairing".
I hope you can help me, because it's driving me crazy

Thank for your support!

I'll bet that tutorial is for HC-05.... and yes, indeed it is. If you use an HC-05, it will probably work. It is good practice to use a 1k/2k voltage divider in Arduino Tx line, as Bluetooth is a 3.3v device.

For this sort of thing, I believe HM-10 is misused at best, and probably more trouble than it is worth, but there is probably a way to get it to work, as I understand it can be used for this on IOS. Further information on HM-10 is here.
