Arduino Coins acceptor connections

hello, i'm new using Arduino so i don't yet understand all connections allowed by Arduino.
i've an MEI Cashflow 115 DFx Coin Validator (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Video-Game-Parts-MEI-Cashflow-115-DFx-Coin-Validator-/370870720206?pt=UK_Video_Games_Coin_Operated_MJ&hash=item56599e16ce) and i want to reader input coins using my arduino. i already saw an adafruit coins acceptor (Counting Money with a Coin Acceptor « Adafruit Industries – Makers, hackers, artists, designers and engineers!) however my device has an 'Interface Connector (CF952X/CF952Xe only, Dual polarity and BCO)' with 16 pins much more than adafruit 4 pins acceptor. Someone can explain me how sould i connect this 16 pins to arduino?
ya, in device datasheet showed above they talk between 17 and 15 pins but may device have 16 pins who is very strange, however i don't understand reason.

Note: *The voltage applied to PIN 8 will result in either a parallel or BCO mode:
For Parallel Mode – Apply a high voltage to PIN 8. (e.g. 5v up to a maximum 12 v)
For BCO Mode – Apply a low voltage to PIN 8. (e.g. 0v)
