Arduino combined builds with dip switch

Do you know how to combine the two codes/builds with a 4-way DIP switch, where Switch 1 controls the motorized pin wheel (Build 1), and Switch 2 controls the zoetrope (Build 2), with the functionality where only one of them can run at a time based on the states of the switches, you need to modify the logic for reading the DIP switches. You can use two switches from the 4-way DIP switch to control the flow.

Immediately, i see a number of problems without looking deeper.
Using a PP3 9v battery is the first problem. Pushing it directly into the 5v rail is another.

There is no dip switch yet because we don’t know how to connect it to the two builds. The plan is to combine the two builds on one breadboard and one Arduino with a dip switch
