Arduino-controlled Captain Kirk command chair

With many thanks to PaulS, tuxduino, lloyddean, wildbill, cyclegadget, bibre, johnwasser and Nick Gammon - and as promised on my request-for-help thread, here is a quick and dirty video of the Kirk chair with 2 Arduino Unos controlling lights and sound FX.

Now that the electronics are sorted, it's on to prep and paint.

Pretty cool!

Wow squonk, excellent job !!!!!

Are you making the sound Fx using those inexpensive USB MP3 modules which are available say, from Electronics123 ?, or with the UNO's ?

Please show it again when it's completeley painted and finished.

Congratulations James Tiberius Kirk, Live Long and Proper! 8)

well done! A+

Thanks! The Uno in the right hand console has a Wave Shield and is playing the sounds from an SD card. Now that the weather is getting warmer, next stop is outside for prep and paint. I'll post the completed version when that happens.

As promised, a photo of the completed chair. Thanks again to everyone here who helped me with the Arduino issues.

Tribbles. There's trouble.

Cool idea, get that in the front room and really annoy people while the TV's on!!!!
