Arduino create agent on chromebook

installed arduino cloud app. plugged in arduino and an LED lights up.
downloaded ArduinoCreateAgent-1.3.5-linux-amd64-installer.tar.gz, used 7zipper to extract it and I have a .run file. how to I run it.
Googling says chromebook doesn't run .run files. I put in linux and installed it there but thats in linux side and still the same.
the arduino cloud doesn't see a port. I'm helping out with coderdojo so not my arduino or cable.

Question is how to run that file on chromebook so i can start programming.

Thank you,
Matthew
