The "permission denied" problem often comes down to a few things.
SIMPLE TROUBLESHOOTING.
These steps may save you some unnecessary time and effort in the forum.
- Ensure you turn off any additional security / antivirus just to test.
- Where possible use USB 2.0 ports or a USB 2.0 POWERED HUB.
- Try other computers where possible.
- Try other USB leads where possible.
- Avoid cloud / network based installations where possible OR Ensure your Network / Cloud based software is RUNNING.
Bob.
Hi,
you could also set up the .exe to always 'Run as Administrator' and that may help.
On my PC I have a separate SSD partitioned for programs, data, 'My Documents', temp files, etc, to keep everything I can off the C: drive SSD.
I find Windows runs a lot better that way and if (when!) Win 10 crashes I can wipe that drive, reload, and I've not lost anything.
It also helps to get away from the daft Win 10 security that blocks too much.
Regards
Peter
