Arduino IDE on Raspbery Pi. Does not find /dev/ttyUSB1 serial port.

Hi,
i am runnning the current version 2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4 of the Arduino IDE on a Raspberry Pi 3.

The IDE does only show /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyS0.
It does not show /dev/ttyUSB1 where my Arduino is connected to.

Any hint how to make it recognize the missing serial port?

Thank you.

This article may help.

IDE version 1.0.5 is very old so upgrading to the latest might also help. For the Raspberry Pi 3, use the Linux ARM version.

Thank you. I have used originally the version out of the Raspberry Pi repositories.
This new version is showing the /dev/ttyUSB1.

Problem solved.
I wish everybody an exxcellent Year 2018!
