Hi, I am using my Arduino Mega ADK and came across the getting started guide at https://docs.arduino.cc/retired/getting-started-guides/ArduinoADK. At the Installation in Arduino section step 1 mentions about downloading the UsbHost.zip from http://processing.arduino.cc/UsbHost.zip. But this seems to be a dead link and I can't seem to find it anywhere else. The ones I found after unzip didn't obtain the folder called USB-ADK (step 2). Do anyone have this exact UsbHost.zip mentioned in the guide? Kindly help... Thank you..
Hello jrjj
Did you read this:
This is a retired product and the information given could be inaccurate or obsolete. It is supplied AS IS for documentation purposes
Hi @jrjj. I attempted to find a cached copy of the missing file in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, but was not successful (things like ZIP files are less likely to be archived than published web content).
I did some research and determined that the library mentioned in that guide was a variant of this 3rd party library:
As mentioned in that library's readme, a new 2.0 version of the library was created:
I see that "USB Host Shield Library 2.0" library is still actively maintained and well documented. So I think your best option will be to try using that library. I'm certain it is superior to the decade old library you would get if you did manage to find that UsbHost.zip file.
If for some reason you still do need that UsbHost.zip file, I recommend contacting Arduino support via this form:
https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us
It is possible the dedicated support team will be able to hunt down this missing file, or at the least to remove the broken link from the documentation.
Hi paulpaulson, yes I am aware this is a retired product, but I have the hardware and now the need to use it in a project so that's why referring the the getting started guide lead me to the need to use UsbHost.zip which happens to be a dead link.... Anyway thank you paulpaulson, I appreciate your reply.

Hi ptillisch, Thank you for assisting me, yes I have also searched the Wayback Machine and it also came back with no result with the zip file... and I have also come across the USB Host Shield Library 2.0 but it was not as mentioned in the Getting Started guide after extraction... But I will try contacting Arduino support if they can provide the mentioned file.... if any luck, I will provide it here just in case someone else also needs this file.... Appreciate your reply too ptillisch.
