Hello, I have an ESP8266 and arduino mega. I have a code ready and when I throw it into nodemcu, it becomes a web server. From there I can turn the LED on and off. How can I do this with arduino mega?

You cannot. That's because the Arduino Mega 2560 doesn't have a built-in WiFi module as the ESP8266 has. So you must add some network hardware to enable the Arduino Mega 2560 to provide a webserver or the like.
